The bird that you see in these scenes is an added 3D element. It is obvious why this was needed. The bird was modeled and animated by Daniel Dugour. During the shoot we had a white ball that we recorded briefly in every shot to give us information about light directions and spreading. Besides that we also recorded a stuffed bird to give us information about its size in the shot. For the shots of the boy with the bird in his mouth, we used a stuffed bird cut in half.
