30 YEARS IFFR
SHORT BY DJIE HAN THUNG, MOTEL FILMS 2004 (edit, sound design and mix)
This film was presented on the opening of the 30th International Filmfestival Rotterdam in 2000. Opening night was presented in 4 different cinema's spread accross Rotterdam. The film shows the director of the festival, Simon Field, trying to be on all locations in time to do his opening speech, This proves to be impossible, he dies and gets to do his speech on film. During editing we chose split-screen because we felt it fits very well with action film and Rotterdam, and because we are born in the sixties.
