The four part series tells the story of the rise and fall of the family empire Meyer. For The Partnership, the authors were inspired by the family history of the famous Dutch family lawyers Moszkowicz.

The young Matthias Meyer builds an unprecedented law empire in post-war Netherlands. Not only that, he builds a close-knit family; together they're one against the rest.

His four sons will continue to propagate his dedication, his flair and his intelligence. But the unquestioning loyalty of the four sons to their father and to each other is undermined from within.

 

In addition to this family history, The Partnership shows the practice of the legal profession in the Netherlands in the past decades.
