THE MIRACLE OF THE SARGASSO SEA will premiere in Berlin, February 9th. Marco Vermaas will be present, together with director Syllas Tzoumerkas and most cast and crew.

The fourth season of NIEUWE BUREN (THE NEIGHBORS) is being mixed by Marco Vermaas. Directors Bobby Boermans, Jelle de Jonge and Mark de Cloe will join to finalize their episodes. NIEUWE BUREN (THE NEIGHBORS) season 4 can be seen on Videoland soon!

Marco Vermaas is finishing the mix of TV series MORTEN with director Jean van de Velde. This 8 episode political thriller can be seen on AVROTROS next year.

World Premiere of THE MIRACLE OF THE SARGASSO SEA at the Panorama section of the 69th Berlinale (Berlin International Film Festival). The latest film by Syllas Tzourmerkas featuring the star of the New Greek Cinema Angeliki Papoulia is a fierce and untamed crime tale, told in larger than life images. The Berlinale will start 7 February 2019.

Marco Vermaas is with Mischa Kamp and Neeltje van der Heijden after finishing the mix of KAPSALON ROMY (ROMY’S SALON). The film will be released in 2019.

KAPSALON ROMY (ROMY’S SALON) is getting its mix in Hamburg by Marco Vermaas and director Mischa Kamp. The film, based on the book by Tamara Bos, already won a prize at the Frankfurter Buchmesse, last month. The story is about Romy who, after school, is taken care of by her grandmother who has a hair salon. Grandma Stine seems very strict because she is so busy. But everything changes when Romy finds out that she also has another side. KAPSALON ROMY (ROMY’S SALON) can be seen in theaters in 2019.

ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE has achieved “Golden Film” status, with over 100,000 tickets sold in the first weekend.

The fourth Season of NIEUWE BUREN (THE NEIGHBORS 4) is ready for Sound Design. Eva (Bracha van Doesburgh) has moved to Sardinia with her daughter, but their getaway on the island is not as safe as she had wished. Two new couples are introduced in the new series, one of which is real life couple Anna Drijver and Benja Bruijning. NIEUWE BUREN 4 can be seen on Videoland by early 2019.

Viewers chose the documentary HET BESTE VOOR KEES (ONLY THE BEST FOR OUR SON) by Monique Nolte as ‘Favourite 2Doc of the last 5 years’. The film about Kees, who has autism, shows him with outbursts of rage, him panicking when thinking about the future but also his command of the Japanese language, perfect drawings. Kees his response was that he felt he had really achieved something in life. This 2Doc film with audio design by Studio Vermaas has had great ratings since its release in 2014.

Feature film ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE by Will Koopman is being mixed by Marco Vermaas. This Christmas feel-good movie will premiere by the end of November. Script by Paula van der Oest and production by NL Film.
