At the China International Children’s Film Festival (CICFF) Vita Heijmen won the BEST ACTRESS award for her role in KAPSALON ROMY (ROMY’S SALON) by Mischa Kamp. 11 year old Vita was present in Guangzhou to receive the Golden statuette. Playing the character Romy, was her first acting role ever.

At the Cinekid Festival in Amsterdam KAPSALON ROMY (ROMY’S SALON) won the prize for Best Dutch Family Film 2019. A jury of experts and kids visiting the festival selected the film to win the Golden Lion Award.

Feature NOVEMBER by Rainer Sarnet, the film that Rolling Stone magazine described as ’it’s as beautiful as it is profoundly weird as fuck’, can be viewed at movie theater Kriterion in Amsterdam every Saturday Night in November at 00.15.

Ruben Dekker is working on KOPPENSNELLERS (HEADHUNTERS) by Michiel van Jaarsveld and Margien Rogaar, a drama series with a good dose of humor and exciting twists. The eight-part series tells the story of tough businesswoman Dana (Lineke Rijxman) who is trying to save her career and win back the love of her son (Tim Linde) as she develops into a conscientious editor in chief of a national newspaper. NL Film expects the series to air at AVROTROS by spring 2020.

Among the 10 films selected for the 2019 Best Dutch Family Film Competition are KAPSALON ROMY (ROMY’S SALON) by Mischa Kamp/BosBros & HIERNAMAALS (AFTER LIFE) by Willem Bosch/Pupkin Film. A professional jury and children who are visiting the Cinekid Festival will decide who will get the Cinekid Lion prizes. The award ceremony will be at the Westergasfabriek Amsterdam, Friday evening October 25th.
