Today on remembrance day in the Netherlands mini series RIPHAGEN is aired on national tv. Marco Vermaas was honored to do Sound Design and to be working with great sound recording on set by Antoin Cox and the brilliant score by Paleis van Boem. RIPHAGEN can be seen on NPO3 from 10.10 pm.

HIERNAMAALS (AFTER LIFE), written and directed by Willem Bosch, wins a special jury prize at the Atlanta Film Festival and has been selected for one of the largest American festivals: Seattle International Film Festival!

NL Film, part of Endemol Shine Netherlands, will create a local adaptation of Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation’s Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning serial-drama THIS IS US, entitled DIT ZIJN WIJ for KRO-NCRV. Kaja Wolffers, Creative Director NL Film says “THIS IS US is a super smart, beautifully crafted, life affirming drama with a brilliant universal premise. We hope Dutch audiences take them into their hearts.” Studio Vermaas will start Sound Design for the series this summer.

KAPSALON ROMY (ROMY’S SALON) had its World Premiere at the Kristiansand International Children’s Film Festival in Norway. Present were director Mischa Kamp, lead actress Beppie Melissen, writer Tamara Bos and producer Burny Bos. By the end of May the film will show at Zlín Film Festival in the Czech Republic, followed by the Giffoni Film Festival in Italy, the Busan International Kids and Youth Film Festival in South Korea and the Buster Film Festival in Denmark.

The highly anticipated feature MARIONETTE by Elbert van Strien has started sound design. Child psychiatrist Marianne Winter (Thekla Reuten) moves to Scotland to start a new life, after the tragic death of her husband (Sam Hazeldine). She starts treating the disturbed ten-year-old Manny (Elijah Wolf), who draws pictures of terrible events and claims he can control her future.

Sound design for BUMPERKLEEF (TAILGATE) by Lodewijk Crijns is in full swing. Today, lead actor Jeroen van Spitzenberger came to the studio for ADR (Automated Dialogue Replacement). BUMPERKLEEF (TAILGATE) is about a self-confident man, on his way – together with his family – for a Sunday visit to his parents. He gets into a traffic fight with another driver Ed, who in revenge starts to follow the family and confronts Hans with his ego.

MORTEN by Jean van de Velde, the series about betrayal, power and seduction, starts on NPO3 Sunday April 7th @ 8.55 pm.

HIERNAMAALS (AFTER LIFE) is going to the 59th ZLÍN FF, the International Film Festival for Children and Youth. The film will be screened as part of the International Competition of European First Films. Good news for director Willem Bosch! The festival will be held from 24 May to the 1st of June.

Series ANNE+ by Valerie Bisscheroux is selected for the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival, which takes place in New York City from April 24th through May 5th.

Feature film OF IK GEK BEN (AS IF I’M CRAZY) can be seen again on national television. This controversial directorial debut by Frank Lammers will be shown by AvroTros this Saturday evening. With the excellent Mike Weerts in the lead and Golden Calf nominations for Best Supporting Actress (Monic Hendrickx) and Sound Design (Marco Vermaas). Don’t miss it on NPO3, March 16th @ 11.05 pm.
