In GEWOON VRIENDEN (JUST FRIENDS), directed by Ellen Smit, we meet Joris who just can’t part from his parental home while Nad returns back to his mom with the tail between his legs. These young men in their twenties from Almere seem to be made for each other. But before they can surrender to love, they first need to straighten things out with their mothers. Telefilm GEWOON VRIENDEN (JUST FRIENDS) will be broadcast by BNNVARA March 7th & March 16th.

Telefilm SILK ROAD directed by Mark de Cloe is selected for the Manchester International Film Festival and the Silk Road International Film Festival. Both festivals will take place in March. First in Manchester and then in Dublin. In the Netherlands SILK ROAD can still be seen via NPO Gemist.

The feature DORST (CRAVING) directed by Saskia Diesing had its premiere, tonight at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR). It will have 3 more screenings at the festival and can be seen on the preview tour through the Netherlands in e.g. Groningen this week. Its Amsterdam premiere will be in De La Mar theatre March 12th. DORST (CRAVING) will be released in Dutch cinemas from March 15th.

Ten new episodes of SMERIS (FORCE) season 4 produced by Pupkin with sound design by Studio Vermaas will air on BNNVARA. In this season there will be a few new faces; police inspector Lotte van Hees, played by Juliette van Ardenne, will join the force in Tilburg and Anneke Blok will be Willem’s (Dennis van de Ven) mom. Episodes 5, 6 and 7 are directed by Jeroen van Koningsbrugge. SMERIS (FORCE) season 4 will be broadcast on NPO3 starting Sunday January 14th.

The 3rd season of NIEUWE BUREN (THE NEIGHBORS) with sound design by Studio Vermaas can be seen on Videoland from March 2nd. Life for Eva and Peter is finally complete with their little daughter Rose. Until new neighbors Milo and Anouk move into Zonnewijk (Solar Area), they seem to know more about the biological parents of little Rose. Their seventeen year old daughter Fay thinks her new surroundings are boring and ordinary, but she soon finds out the new neighborhood is not as it seems.

SILK ROAD by Mark de Cloe will be screened in the World Cinema Now section of the Palm Springs International Film Festival, one of the biggest filmfestivals of North-America. The festival will take place from January 2nd till January 15th. As announced by producer Rinkel Film. This Telefilm can still be seen on NPO online.

The feature HUISVROUWEN BESTAAN NIET (HOUSEWIVES DON’T EXIST) by Aniëlle Webster got Audio Description with the voice of Julika Marijn. Two sisters and their mother are forced to push aside their differences and think about the life and household they carry. The feature is produced by REP (Rik Engelkes Productions). HUISVROUWEN BESTAAN NIET (HOUSEWIVES DON’T EXIST) will be shown in Dutch theaters by December 21st 2017.

TV series CIRCUS NOËL has AD by Studio Vermaas. Victor, who is staying in the Netherlands illegally , finds a circus in his neighborhood where he meets Tonie, the son of the circus director. Victor finds out that Tonie is afraid of heights while he has to walk a tight rope in the big Christmas show. Conversely, Tonie discovers Victor’s secret. They decide to help each other. CIRCUS NOËL has 20 episodes of 10 minutes each and will be shown on NPO, starting Wednesday December 6th.

DORST (CRAVING) by Saskia Diesing will premiere at the International Film Festival Rotterdam on January 29 2018. Esther Gerritsen, author of the homonymous novel and co-writer of the script will be there as well as lead actresses Simone Kleinsma and Elise van ’t Laar. DORST (CRAVING) is developed and produced by KeyFilm and will be part of the Limelight-program at IFFR. The film can be seen in Dutch theaters from March 15th 2018.

NTR short film GAMECHANGER by Christian van Duuren wins at Berlin’s Interfilm festival the prize for best film at ‘Confrontations’ a section for films against violence and intolerance as announced by Joram Willink of BIND. Thirty year old veteran Max watches the neighboring kids playing soldiers. But what starts out as a game quickly becomes deadly serious.
