The First Dutch NF original ARES has started shooting. ARES is an 8-episode psychological horror series written by Michael Leendertse and directed by Giancarlo Sanchez and Michiel ten Horn. Producer is Pupkin and the series will star, among others: Jade Olieberg, Tobias Kersloot, Lisa Smit, Robin Boissevain, Frieda Barnhard and Rifka Lodeizen. Studio Vermaas is looking forward to do Sound Design of this series!

In SILK ROAD by Mark de Cloe, student Daphne is interested in Raymond, her neighbor on the motorbike. He doesn’t see her. Until she hacks his computer and puts a game on it. He ends up inviting her to deliver a package, 'almost without risk'. After that, Daphne gets caught up in drug trafficking via the dark caves of the Dark Web. Script is based on the real, now busted, illegal drugs and weapon sales site Silk Road. The Telefilm can be seen on NPO3, Wednesday March 13 @ 8.25 pm.

Carnaval is around the corner and this means that ALLES MAG (ANYTHING GOES) will be on tv, this year again. The prize-winning film by Steven Wouterlood is about 11-year-old Tygo who dreams of going back to celebrate carnaval in the south of the Netherlands after he has moved to Amsterdam. ALLES MAG (ANYTHING GOES) can be seen on NPO3, Monday March 4th at 2.40 pm.

Telefilm HIERNAMAALS (AFTERE LIFE) by Willem Bosch is selected for two large American festivals; the Cleveland International Film Festival and the Atlanta Film Festival, both will be by the end of April. HIERNAMAALS (AFTER LIFE) is about sixteen year old Sam who takes care of her little brothers after her Mom’s death. When she gets into an accident and ends up in the After Life and finds out she can go back and redo her life, she decides to do everything she can to prevent her mother from dying.

Telefilm GEWOON VRIENDEN (JUST FRIENDS) can be seen on the Inflight Entertainment Program provided by KLM on long distance flights, starting this March.

Short film THE SUMMER AND ALL THE REST | L’ÉTÉ ET TOUT LE RESTE will be part of the international competition at Short Waves Festival (19 - 24 March) in Poland, and Filmfest Dresden (9 - 14 April). All the best to director Sven Bresser

Political thriller series MORTEN (Peter Paul Muller) directed by Jean van de Velde can already be seen via NPO Plus or NLZIET as of today. The 8-episode series will be on NPO3 from April 7th at 8.55 pm.

The NPO has selected One Night Stand ‘FREE FIGHT’ by Sven Bresser and Telefilm GELUKZOEKERS by Hanro Smitsman as the Dutch submissions ‘Drama’ for the International Emmy and Rocky Awards in the U.S.
