LOST TRANSPORT ready for Sound Design
LOST TRANSPORT (VERLOREN TRANSPORT) by Saskia Diesing is currently in post-production. Based on a true story, it follows a train with 2,500 Jewish former prisoners aboard leaving the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. The train comes to a stop by a German village in the path of advancing Russian troops, with three women forced to pool their resources to survive. Condemned to each other and in a context of deep mistrust, desperation and revenge, an unexpected friendship emerges between Russian sniper Vera, village girl Winnie and Jewish-Dutch woman Simone.
THE MAN FROM ROME starts shooting
New feature by Jaap van Heusden THE MAN FROM ROME will start shooting this month. Rising Italian star Michele Riondino is set to play a priest sent by the Vatican to Holland to investigate a crying statue of the Virgin Mary. The English, Dutch, Italian-language production is set to start shooting in the southern Dutch province of Limburg and in Germany’s North Rhine-Westphalia region. Lead producers are IJswater Films and German’s Fiction Park. Studio Vermaas expects to start post production by early 2022.
